IPS Donates Meters to Kindness Program

SAN DIEGO, Calif. – IPS Group, Inc. (www.ipsgroupinc.com) recently commemorated its involvement in the City of Carlsbad Kindness Meter Program during an annual celebration and fundraiser hosted by the Wyland Foundation at the Ocean Institute in Dana Point, Calif. The San Diego-based smart parking meter manufacturer donated seven solar powered credit-card enabled parking meters to facilitate donations throughout Carlsbad, contributing to the City’s vision of becoming “America’s Kindest City.” IPS Group COO, Chad Randall, stated, “IPS Group is proud to partner with the Kindness Meter Program. Through the IPS Donation Meter Program, we are committed to offering our smart meter technology as a means to give back to the community. Cities and charitable organizations are able to maximize giving through these donation stations with the convenience of paying with a credit card.”   The meters will be installed at several locations throughout Carlsbad, Calif. such as the Agua Hedionda Lagoon Discovery Center (Oct. 17), Tip Top Meats on Paseo Del Norte (Nov. 8), and the Ocean Institute in Dana Point which will feature meter housings painted by the well-known artist, Wyland. “Every drop of water counts when we are trying to protect the planet and every donation counts, so thank you,” said the artist. The meters donated by IPS allow patrons to make their contribution using a credit/debit card and “Feed Darlene,” a reference to the dolphin who was featured in the original design.   All proceeds from the meters will go to:
