City of Austin, TX
As a City on the cutting edge of music, arts, and collegiate sports, Austin needed an innovative approach to parking to support its ever-growing vibrant population. Austin sought and deployed an integrative solution, with multiple meter technologies, and a data driven parking application for motorists to find available parking. As a company open to sharing data and partnering with other companies, IPS believes in tailoring the solution to the City, as we did for the City of Austin, ---every time.
University of Minnesota, Minneapolis
As one of the largest universities in the United States with 80,000 students, staff and visitors accessing the campus daily, the University of Minnesota understands parking. The University utilizes IPS Meters to gather data and make informed decisions regarding rates; particulary during their 1,000+ yearly events on campus.
City of Athens, GA
As the Jewel of the South, Athens, GA understands what hospitality is --and when parking downtown, their dedication to this mantra is quite evident. Athens was looking for a way to allow customers to dine in peace without running to feed the meter mid-meal, which meant they needed to be able to program their meters to offer varying rates and hours from day to night. The City’s aging meters did not allow for multiple configurations and were anything but easy to program.
City of Manhattan Beach, CA
The City of Manhattan Beach made the transition from coin-only single space meters to IPS credit card enabled meters in order to provide a more customer friendly parking experience for drivers and local business owners. The ease of installation and multiple payment options proved to be the winning combination for this upscale California beach town and their downtown business association.
City of Norwalk, CT
When the City of Norwalk transitioned their coin only meters to IPS meters, they immediately experienced the benefits of being able to access data in real-time with the click of a mouse. The IPS online data management system not only allowed the City to track payments and occupancy, they also learned how to utilize the system to validate or combat ticket appeals.
"By reusing our existing poles and using clean solar power, these new Coin and Card meters are a win-win for customers, the city, and the environment."
- Los Angeles Mayor Villaraigosa
"I think the IPS meters are unique in the sense that they have miniaturized all of the desirable features of much bigger pay stations. There are big benefits for the users. The meters are easy for drivers to understand. It is wonderful to see an American company making big advances in parking technology. It’s an evolution of parking meters."
- Donald Shoup, Author of The High Cost of Free Parking and UCLA Urban Planning Professor
"We are very satisfied with the performance of the meter as well as the feedback from our customers."
- Bruce Gillman, LADOT, as stated in the San Diego Business Journal, November 29, 2010
“The meters themselves are world class technology, but what has stood out for me is the customer service– IPS is outstanding.”
- Dennis Thompson, City of Huntington Beach
“It doesn't surprise me that IPS is having a lot of success and interest in their meters. Not only do they have an awesome product, but they have the customer service support to match. Both are key components to being truly successful in the parking industry. In fact, IPS meters are changing the game!"
- Scott Leetch, City of Laguna Beach
"I am really happy we bought our IPS units and only wish we'd discovered them before we invested so much in our multi-space meters. They are extremely user-friendly and virtually bullet proof!"
- Buddy Knox, University of Denver
