The IPS Single Space Parking Meter (SSPM) System provides the perfect solution for cities wanting to accept credit and debit card payments without having to make major changes to the current method of doing business. There is no need to convert to Pay-by-Space machines with their high operating costs for consumables, and having to deal with printer jams and confused drivers.
The IPS Single Space Parking Meter is engineered to be a direct replacement upgrade that fits into the city's existing single space poles and housings. Simply take out the original top and mechanism and replace it with the new ones. The meters will be operational within seconds, thereby minimizing installation time, cost and risk. The meter is solar powered and has a rechargeable battery pack. No external power is required.
The meter is designed to be robust and extremely resistant to vandalism. The IPS Single Space Parking Meter features wireless communication with a centralized Meter Management System, providing real-time credit card authorizations and meter status reporting.
